HOCHTIEF Projektentwicklung sells downtown KOMM Center in Offenbach

MGPA acquires KOMM that opened in September 2009 - More than 91 percent of space is let

HOCHTIEF Projektentwicklung has sold KOMM in Offenbach to a North American investor represented by MGPA. It was agreed that no details of the purchase price would be disclosed. The downtown center has 21,750 square meters of rental space and around 200 in-house parking spaces. A further 425 parking spaces are available in the integrated/adjoining parking garage. 96 percent of the retail space and 77 percent of the office and medical practice space have been let, so that total lettings stand at around 91 percent.

On the three shopping levels which have a rental area of 15,700 square meters, KOMM has space for around 60 retail and catering outlets. 15,000 square meters of this space is already let. All mid- to upper-range consumer goods such as textiles, footwear, sports, accessories and multimedia are available at KOMM, as is a specialist department store with perfume department, drugstore, household goods, toys and CDs. Day-to-day needs are covered by a large grocery supermarket. Various catering outlets round out the amenities. At KOMM-on-Top - the office and medical practice levels on KOMM’s third and fourth “panorama” levels - more than 5,000 of the approximately 6,200 square meters of rental space have been let to a gym, a physiotherapy practice, two dental practices and a dental lab. Other tenants are an architectural and engineering firm and the Center Management. KOMM opened in September 2009 and connects the shopping streets in downtown Offenbach.
